A higher refresh rate translates to better picture and quality; however there are not many dual link devices out there. Keep an eye out when shopping for a DVI amplifier; in most cases you will not need dual link if the parts you are working with don’t support dual link. DVI distribution amplifiers usually come in with 1 or 2 inputs and 2, 4, 8 or more outputs. In addition, many DVI amplifiers are equipped with an EDID manager for a seamless handshake between devices. DVI distribution amplifiers are ideal for projects where high resolution 1080p video signals need to be routed to multiple displays. Also, when speaking of multiple displays, integrators can easily cascade a signal using additional amplifiers and splitters. Cascading simply means waterfalling the same signal to different areas or rooms my using more amplifiers.
