DVI Amplifier

DVI Amplifier
DVI Distribution Amplifiers are assembled to transmit uncompressed video signals to multiple devices. The introduction of DVI was to create a new industry standard for routing digital video content. Since then, more modern formats such as HDMI and HDBaseT have become more popularized, however DVI is still widely used in commercial applications. Many DVI distribution amplifiers are single link versus dual link. The main contrast between dual link and single link is the refresh rate. A higher refresh rate translates to better picture and quality; however there are not many dual link devices out there. Keep an eye out when shopping for a DVI amplifier; in most cases you will not need dual link if the parts you are working with don’t support dual link. DVI distribution amplifiers usually come in with 1 or 2 inputs and 2, 4, 8 or more outputs. When researching for the right amplifier it’s good to know how many displays you are working with and the distances of each cable run. In addition, many DVI amplifiers are equipped with an EDID manager for a seamless handshake between devices. DVI distribution amplifiers are ideal for projects where high resolution 1080p video signals need to be routed to multiple displays. Also, when speaking of multiple displays, integrators can easily cascade a signal using additional amplifiers and splitters. Cascading simply means waterfalling the same signal to different areas or rooms my using more amplifiers. Manufacturing brands including Atlona, Kramer, Gefen, Hall Research, TVOne, Shinybow and Magenta are a few of the industry leaders we work with that supply DVI distribution amplifiers.
