MOUNT VERNON, NY – May 13, 2019 – Key Digital, the award winning manufacturer of professional A/V and control systems introduces KD-X4x1WUTx, an HDBaseT wall-plate transmitter, universal presentation switcher, CEC management, and soft conference enabling interface with two HDMI, one display port, and one USB-C input, as well as USB-A, USB-B, and LAN connectivity. KD-X4x1WUTx is ideal for professional video installations in conference rooms, class rooms, lecture halls, auditoriums, and more and joins the new family of Presentation Systems from Key Digital to be released at InfoComm 2019 in Orlando, FL.

KD-X4x1WUTx boasts an exciting variety of integration options within Key Digital’s Presentation Systems lineup.

Point-to-point extension is achieved by integrating KD-X4x1WUTX with KD-X100MRx black box HDBaseT Rx. The resultant systems have a variety of video plug-in options and offer audio de-embedding of the selected video source at the Rx unit. Power, volume, and muting buttons on the wall-plate enable users to easily control the display or monitor connected to the Rx unit. With LAN connectivity at the Tx or Rx unit, the KD-X4x1WUTx system can be scanned and detected with Key Digital’s free KD-App for switching video source selection and CEC management of the display/projector.

Adding Key Digital’s new PTZ controllable professional USB camera enables the use of video conferencing software systems such as Skype, GoTo Meetings, and more. KD-CAMUSB can connect into the Rx unit’s USB port at the display to enable a large view of all participants in the room. Additionally, audio from the room may be captured by USB microphone or a professional multi-mic mix and embedded to the soundcard of the presenter’s laptop.

KD-X4x1WUTx may also be integrated with KD-PS42 presentation switcher. This combination adds four additional digital video inputs on a wall-plate interface to the KD-PS42. This system also provides de-embedded audio for integration with professional audio systems, CEC management of up to two connected displays, and App ready control from KD-App or professional control systems. KD-PS42 includes KD-X40MRx black box receiver, so that this integrated system utilizes HDBaseT from the wall-plate in and out of the presentation switch to the receive unit at the display up to 40m away.

Optimal integration for KD-X4x1WUTx is achieved by terminating the wall-plate with KD-UPS52U universal presentation switcher. This presentation solution adds four inputs on a wall-plate interface, bringing the system total to an impressive four HDMI two display port and two USB-C digital video inputs. KD-UPS52U includes KD-X100MRx black box receiver, so that this integrated system utilizes HDBaseT from the wall-plate in and out of the presentation switch to the receive unit at the display up to 100m away.

Of course, being the native Rx option for KD-X4x1WUTx, KD-UPS52U also features USB device and host connectivity for soft video conference enabling systems when adding KD-CAMUSB.

KD-X4x1WUTx features Key Digital’s proprietary CEC Manager™ technology. When received directly by KD-X100MRx, the connected display can be powered on or off discreetly as well as incremental volume control and mute toggle. When received by KD-UPS52U or KD-PS42, up to two connected displays can be controlled and the user may manage the intended recipient of the HDMI CEC signals. Both KD-PS42 and KD-UPS52U include Key Digital’s KD-RMPS remote for presentation systems which features CEC manager controls for a complete audio, video, and control solution without additional IR or RS-232 wiring.

KD-X4x1WUTx is HDCP 2.2 compliant and supports 4K/UHD 24/25/30/60 (4:4:4) resolutions with up to 18Gbps bandwidth. 4K/UHD signals are extended up to 100m / 328ft and 1080p up to 150m / 492ft via single CAT5e/6 cable. In addition to AV signals, KD-X4x1WUTx extends IR, RS-232, and LAN for controlling remotely located equipment. The wall-plate unit fits in a standard US three-gang box and is powered by the Rx unit or Presentation Switcher for convenient installation.

With Key Digital’s Auto-Sensing KD-X4x1WUTx features automatic selection of newly detected sources and switching from newly disconnected sources via Hot Plug Detection voltage when enabled.

KD-X4x1WUTx supports all SD, HD, VESA (VGA, SVGA, XGA, WXGA, SXGA, UXGA).

This wall-plate is HDR10 (High Dynamic Range) and Dolby Vision capable allowing for pristine image quality through a greater range of luminance levels. Deep Color is supported with ranges up to UHD/4K 30Hz 4:4:4/12 bits or 60Hz 4:4:4/8 bit. Supported lossless compressed digital audio formats include Dolby® TrueHD, Dolby® Digital Plus, Dolby Atmos®, and DTS-HD Master Audio™.

The KD-X4x1WUTx uses advanced EDID controls, and comes with a built-in internal library with 15 EDID handshakes including 4K with HDR in addition to native EDID data copied from the output/display. Key Digital’s proprietary Full Buffer System manages TMDS re-clocking / signal re-generation, HDCP authentication to source and display, EDID control handshake, and Hot Plug Detection Voltage. 

The KD-X4x1WUTx is fully controllable by all RS-232 supported control systems via open API including Compass Control® Pro and third-party control systems.
