The PE6208AVG is an intelligent 1U rack-mount eco PDU designed to provide managed power distribution for professional AV racks and server cabinets. It supplies eight IEC320 C13 outlets with bank-level metering and networked control to help monitor and manage power remotely. The detachable front panel enables mounting in 19″ racks of varying depths for flexible installation.
Key features include per-outlet and group outlet switching, sequential power-on, and proactive overload protection – and these features help prevent accidental overloads and protect connected equipment. The unit supports RS-232 control and full TCP/IP management via a 10/100 Ethernet interface – providing secure remote control and monitoring. Built-in support for SNMP and integration libraries for ATEN Control System and Control4 extend automation and centralized management capabilities.
Metering accuracy is specified at 1% and supports bank-level current, voltage, VA, PF and kWh monitoring – enabling accurate energy tracking. Environmental monitoring ports accept external temperature or combined temperature and humidity sensors for rack environment oversight. The PE6208AVG supports standard network protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, SNMP V1/V2/V3, and NTP for synchronized logging and alerting.
Connectivity options include one RJ-45 10/100 Mbps network port and one DB-9 RS-232 port – both offering common control interfaces used in AV and IT installations. The PDU supports account security, IP/MAC filtering, 128-bit SSL encryption and RADIUS authentication for secure access. Browser access is supported via mainstream browsers to enable quick local or remote management without additional software.
Practical applications include pro AV racks, broadcast equipment racks, and small data center deployments where controlled sequencing and energy monitoring reduce downtime and optimize power usage. The PE6208AVG’s sequential power-on and power cycle features allow staged equipment startup to protect devices and ensure correct boot order.
