The PE0118SA is a 1U rack mount power distribution unit designed to deliver reliable AC power distribution in data centers, server rooms, and telecom racks. It provides 18 NEMA 5-15R outlets in a compact aluminum housing that minimizes rack space while maintaining mechanical robustness. The unit integrates surge protection to guard connected equipment against transient voltage spikes.
Key features include an 18-outlet NEMA configuration, a 10 ft power cord, and an internal surge protection module. The PDU accepts 100-120 VAC input via a NEMA 5-15P plug and supports a maximum input current of 15A (UL de-rated to 12A). An overcurrent protection device is included to help prevent overload conditions.
Electrical performance is tailored to standard North American power systems with a nominal input of 100-120 VAC and a frequency range of 50-60 Hz. The unit provides up to 1800 VA of input power and maintains per-outlet and total current limits consistent with safety deratings. Operating and storage temperature ranges extend from 0 to 40 C and -20 to 60 C respectively, and the PDU is rated for operation up to 3000 m elevation.
Connectivity is straightforward: a fixed NEMA 5-15P input and eighteen NEMA 5-15R outputs provide broad compatibility with typical server and network equipment power cords. The included 10 ft, 14 AWG power cord delivers ample reach within standard racks and equipment cabinets. The aluminum 1U form factor is compatible with standard 19 inch rack installations.
Typical deployment scenarios include distribution of AC power to server blade enclosures, network switch stacks, and telecom shelves where high outlet density and surge protection are required. The compact profile conserves rack space while the surge protection module reduces the risk of damage from electrical transients. Note that the warranty excludes accessories external to the product such as the surge protection module.
