Multiple audio format is a solution Integrators are wishing for, say hello to the AT-HD-M2C by Atlona.

At AVProSupply we speak with many savvy end users and integrators that are looking for a multiple audio format solution. Well, one of the fastest growing Audio Visual manufacturers by the name of Atlona has debuted a device in ISE 2013, the AT-HD-M2C. We can expect Atlona to release this multiple audio format solution as soon as post ISE 2013 to the public.

The AT-HD-M2C converts multichannel audio—up to Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master Audio signals—into a two-channel stereo format. This product cooperates with displays and legacy devices, for example audio video receivers or distribution amps.

The multiple audio format AT-HD-M2C transmits its own multichannel EDID and will remove any guesswork out of supervising audio for any source. The bright LED’s on the front panel will indicate the natural format of the multichannel audio. For example, a LED will light up for Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital, Dolby TrueHD, PCM, DTS Digital Surround or DTS-HD Master Audio. This feature creates a user friendly experience when it comes to communicating with this durable multiple audio format device from Atlona.

Output ports including S/PDIF, HDMI, and analog, allow audio to pass to amplifiers and legacy audio receivers that don’t support HDMI, while still passing both audio and video to HDMI displays.
