The CS52DP is a compact 2-port cable KVM switch that lets a single DisplayPort USB console control one DisplayPort computer and one USB-C device. It is designed to simplify desktop workflows by providing direct cable connections for both a DisplayPort PC and a USB-C mobile device. The unit is plug-and-play and does not require software installation.
Key features include support for DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode) over USB-C, native DisplayPort 1.2 video, and HDCP compliance. The CS52DP delivers up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz for clear, high-resolution output and supports 2560 x 1440 at 144 Hz for alternative refresh-rate workflows. Computer selection is performed using the included remote port selector for instantaneous switching between sources.
From a technical perspective the switch supports DP1.2 signaling and requires DP1.2 mode on DP1.4 displays to ensure compatibility. Video capability reaches 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz and 2560 x 1440 at 144 Hz as supported modes. Typical power consumption is DC 5V at 0.74 W and the device may request optional external power via the USB Micro-B power port in power-constrained scenarios.
Connectivity includes a DisplayPort and two USB Type-A console ports plus stereo audio jacks for mic and speaker. Computer-side connections consist of one DisplayPort/USB-A/corresponding audio pair and one USB-C/audio pair, plus an optional USB Micro-B power port. The console USB ports support USB 2.0 peripheral sharing and the CS52DP supports hot-plugging and broad OS compatibility including Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS.
The CS52DP is well suited to hot-desking and mixed desktop environments where users need to switch quickly between a workstation and a USB-C laptop. It provides a tidy, cable-centric installation that avoids bulky docking stations while retaining full 4K video fidelity. Typical applications include office desks, control stations, content review desks and mobile workstation handoffs.
Installation is straightforward – connect the console, attach the two computer cables, and use the remote selector to switch sources. The housing is compact plastic with a hook design for neat desk placement and cable management. For DP1.4 displays ensure device settings are adjusted to DP1.2 mode if required and an optional USB Micro-B power cable may be used for additional stability.
