The CRS-PlugNView-H-66 is an active optical HDMI cable engineered for long-distance digital video and audio transmission. It delivers full 4K@60 4:4:4 video over extended runs while eliminating the need for external power. The cable is built to withstand rigorous rental and road use and offers a rugged, armored construction for reliable field performance.
Key features include active optical technology that maintains signal integrity over long distances and support for up to 18 Gbps data throughput. The cable supports HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision to preserve high dynamic range content and meets HDCP 2.2 content protection requirements. Audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio are supported, including 5.1 and 7.1 channel configurations.
Performance specifications include 4K@60 resolution at 4:4:4 chroma sub-sampling and a maximum recommended run of up to 100 meters for optical transmission. The active units draw power directly from the HDMI connector at approximately 5V and 50mA, consuming only 0.25W. With an 18 Gbps bandwidth the cable handles high-bit-rate video and multi-channel lossless audio for professional AV workflows.
Connectivity is standard HDMI Type A male on both ends to ensure compatibility with most HDTVs, projectors and AV equipment that accept HDMI inputs. The cable supports EDID and CEC to preserve device control and display communication. HDCP 2.2 compliance ensures playback of protected 4K content from modern sources.
Typical applications include live event staging, touring rigs, rental installations and fixed AV installations where long HDMI runs are required without extenders. Installation is straightforward since no external power adapters or repeaters are required; plug in the HDMI connectors and the active optical elements are powered by the HDMI source. The cable’s TPU jacket, stainless steel corrugated tube and Kevlar reinforcement provide mechanical protection while waterproof and impact resistant connector covers protect terminations during transport and use. The cable is dispensed from a solid mobile plastic spool for efficient handling and storage.
