The CRS-PLUGNVIEW-H is an active optical armored HDMI cable engineered for long-range 4K video transmission and harsh rental and road environments. It delivers 4K@60 4:4:4 video and supports modern HDR formats while eliminating the need for external power. The cable is supplied on a mobile plastic spool for fast deployment and retrieval.
Key features include active optical transmission supporting up to 4K@60 4:4:4, an 18 Gbps data rate, and HDMI-powered active electronics that draw only 0.25W (50mA @ 5V). The cable implements comprehensive HDMI functionality including HDCP 2.2, HDR-10, HLG, Dolby Vision, deep color, and x.v.Color. Mechanical protection uses a stainless steel corrugated tube and Kevlar reinforcement under a TPU jacket for extreme durability.
From a technical perspective the cable is an Active Optical Cable (AOC) combining fiber optics for signal transport with HDMI active transceivers. The active units are powered through the HDMI connector and require no external power supply when used with standard HDMI source devices. It supports EDID and CEC signaling and passes uncompressed multi-channel audio formats including 5.1/7.1, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.
Connectivity is native HDMI Type A male on both ends for plug-and-play integration with AV switchers, displays, cameras and source devices. The cable maintains HDMI protocol features across long runs up to 100 meters when conditions permit while this specific model is supplied as an 80.00 m (262ft) length. The cable is compatible with devices that require HDCP 2.2 and modern HDR pipelines.
Typical applications include live events, touring rigs, rental houses, broadcast venues, and fixed AV installations where long HDMI runs and rugged handling are required. It is suited to feed projectors, LED walls, switchers and capture devices where signal integrity and easy deployment are priorities.
