The CLS-AOCU32/FF-15 is an active USB-C hybrid AOC cable designed to deliver reliable high-speed connectivity between USB-C enabled hosts and devices. It combines optical and copper conductors to support video, high-speed data and power delivery over a single cable. The integrated K-Lock connector secures the connection for fixed installations and mobile setups.
This cable supports 4K@60 4:4:4 video over DisplayPort Alternate Mode and up to 10Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 data throughput alongside USB 2.0 signaling. It carries up to 100W of power delivery (20V, 5A) and supports Gigabit Ethernet over USB types that provide network passthrough. The reversible USB Type-C connectors reduce insertion errors and include an integrated locking mechanism for secure retention.
Technically, the active AOC design uses two lanes for video and two lanes for data to meet the bandwidth demands of high-resolution displays while keeping signal integrity across the 15ft length. The cable jacket is PVC LSHF with a 5.8mm nominal diameter and a 36mm bending radius to accommodate tight routing. Electrical ratings include a 30V voltage rating and conductor resistances specified for 28AWG and 20AWG conductors.
Connectivity is straightforward with USB-C male to USB-C male K-Lock connectors on both ends and broad compatibility with PC, Mac and mobile devices supporting USB-C. The cable is backward compatible with USB 1.0, 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0 and supports common peripherals such as monitors, webcams and printers. It also carries CE and FCC safety approvals and meets RoHS and REACH environmental requirements.
Typical applications include workstation video and data extension, AV system cabling for meeting rooms, and mobile device charging while connected to displays or docking stations. The K-Lock mechanism makes it suitable for semi-permanent AV installs where accidental unplugging must be avoided.
