The CA-HM-35 is an active high speed HDMI cable designed to deliver reliable high-bandwidth video and audio over extended distances. It supports up to 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 and carries Ethernet over HDMI for integrated networked devices. The cable is plug and play and draws power from the HDMI source so no external power supply is required.
Key features include active signal equalization, K-Lock locking HDMI connectors and an LED indicator that confirms successful signal transmission. The cable supports HDCP 2.2, HDR, EDID, CEC and ARC and provides lossless audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD. Triple shielding protects against EMI and ensures signal integrity in pro AV environments.
Performance varies with length – the CA-HM series provides 18 Gbps up to 20m, 10.2 Gbps up to 25m and lower data rates at longer lengths. The 35ft (10.7m) CA-HM-35 uses 28AWG conductors and supports 4K@60Hz in the supported color sampling and bandwidth ranges. The connector assembly is 24K gold plated to minimize corrosion and contact resistance.
Connectivity includes male Type A HDMI K-Lock connectors on both ends and an optional micro USB power input on the display end for environments where source power is insufficient. The K-Lock connector offers pull resistance and prevents accidental disconnections during installation. The cable is UL listed CL3/FT4 allowing in-wall installation where required.
Common applications include conference rooms, digital signage links, classroom AV, and professional installations that require secure HDMI runs without external extenders. The cable is suitable where 4K@60 content, HDR metadata and protected content using HDCP 2.2 must be preserved. It is also appropriate for systems that integrate audio return channel and CEC control signals.
Installation is straightforward due to the plug and play design and the integrated locking connectors. The cable jacket is PVC and the construction includes aluminum/mylar shielding and braid for durability. An LED indicator on the connector provides immediate feedback on signal status and the cable is rated for typical commercial operating temperatures.
