The AT-USB-EX350-WPH-KIT is a point-to-point USB 3.2 Gen 1 extender kit designed to carry high data rate USB up to 5 Gbps over a single Category 6A U/FTP cable. It separates host and peripheral locations while preserving full USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 2.0 data paths. The kit includes a one-gang host wall plate for clean host connections and a remote device endpoint for peripherals.
This kit supports simultaneous USB 3.2 Gen 1 data at up to 5 Gbps and USB 2.0 data at up to 480 Mbps. It extends signals up to 330 ft (100 meters) using a single Cat6A U/FTP cable and provides four peripheral ports – three USB-A and one locking USB-C. A LAN port on the host endpoint enables monitoring, firmware updates and remote control features.
Performance is engineered for high-bandwidth AV peripherals such as 4K cameras and conferencing bars, with per-port VBUS configuration and up to 1.5 A per peripheral port (3.2 A total). The extender transmits full USB transfer types including control, bulk, interrupt and isochronous traffic. Power may be supplied from either endpoint and the included 48 V DC supply supports the system under full USB device load.
Connectivity includes a locking USB-C host connector integrated into a US one-gang wall plate, three USB-A and one locking USB-C device ports, an RJ45 LAN port for management, and an RS-232 captive screw port at the device endpoint. HDBaseT-style HDBT-USB3 RJ45 connectors are used for the Cat6A link. The LAN interface supports DHCP/static addressing, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, Telnet and JSON over WebSockets.
Typical applications include classrooms, training rooms and meeting spaces where laptops or room computers are separated from cameras, microphones and other USB peripherals. The kit is suitable for BYOD environments and rooms needing clean wall-plate host connections while maintaining high USB bandwidth. It supports longer cable runs than conventional USB cabling, reducing the need for additional infrastructure.
Installation is straightforward – mount the host one-gang wall plate, run a single Cat6A U/FTP cable to the device endpoint and connect peripherals. Interchangeable white and black trim kits are provided for the wall plate to match room aesthetics. The compact device endpoint can be mounted behind displays, in furniture or above projectors and the system includes monitoring and configuration tools for validation and troubleshooting.
