The WP-211T is a wall-plate HDBaseT switcher designed to deliver HDMI video and audio over a single twisted-pair link while offering automatic input selection and PoE power acceptance. It mounts in a standard 1-gang wall or podium plate to provide convenient local HDMI inputs and a long-reach HDBaseT output. This product simplifies AV connectivity by combining switching and HDBaseT transmission in a compact in-wall form factor.
The unit provides two HDMI inputs and automatic input selection using last-connected or priority schemes selected via DIP switches. It supports HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 to handle modern 4K sources and includes intelligent EDID handling to ensure source-display interoperability. PoE acceptance lets the device draw power over the same twisted pair used for video and control when connected to a PoE source.
Performance highlights include a maximum data rate of 8.91 Gbps and support for 4K@60Hz at 4:2:0 plus full HD at longer distances. Audio handling supports up to 32 channels of uncompressed digital audio and formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD. The unit is HDBaseT 1.0 compliant and is designed to transmit 4K signals up to 40m and 1080p signals up to 70m over Kramer HDBaseT cabling.
Connectivity consists of two female HDMI inputs and a single RJ-45 HDBaseT output, supporting HDMI uncompressed audio channels and lip sync. The WP-211T is compatible with any HDBaseT-compliant extender or matrix and includes Kramer I-EDIDPro for EDID processing and pass-through. Controls on the panel and DIP-switches enable easy selection of switching mode and input behavior.
Typical applications include classrooms, huddle rooms and training rooms where a compact in-wall AV input station is required. The device is suited to spaces that need quick source switching and long-reach distribution to a distant projector or display. Cooling is by convection and the unit operates between 0 to 40 degrees C with storage down to -40 degrees C.
