The WP-20 is a wall-plate HDBaseT switcher and transmitter designed to extend AV signals and simplify room automation. It combines HDMI and VGA video inputs with analog audio and serial control to provide a compact source selection and extension point. The unit supports PoE powering and integrates Maestro room automation for automated input selection and room control.
The WP-20 supports 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) video and HDMI 2.0 features such as deep color and multichannel audio. It offers automatic source switching with priority or last-connected selection and local or remote contact-closure button control. I-EDIDPro intelligent EDID handling ensures reliable handshake and plug-and-play operation with displays and sources.
Performance includes a 10.2 Gbps max data rate, HDCP 1.4 compliance and HDBaseT extension of up to 100m at 4K60 (4:2:0) over twisted pair cabling. Audio embedding and de-embedding let a presenter override source audio or send audio to local speakers via the stereo analog output. Ethernet extension runs up to 100 Mbps while RS-232 is bidirectional at 300-115200 baud.
Connectivity includes 1x HDMI input, 1x VGA input, 1x analog stereo input (3.5mm), 1x HDBaseT RJ-45 output, analog stereo output (3.5mm), 1x 100BaseT Ethernet RJ-45, and two RS-232 3-pin terminal blocks for extension and device control. Four contact-closure inputs are provided on a 5-pin terminal block for external switching. The unit accepts PoE or 12VDC 2A external power.
Typical use cases include podium or wall-mounted source selection in classrooms, conference rooms, and auditoria where a discreet, in-wall user interface is required. The WP-20 automates input selection and room events to reduce setup time and user errors. Its compact 2-gang form factor fits standard US, EU and UK back boxes for easy integration into finished rooms.
Installation is straightforward via a single twisted-pair HDBaseT cable that provides video, control and optional PoE. Status LEDs and web/RS-232 management simplify diagnostics and firmware updates. The aluminum enclosure uses convection cooling and is rated for 0 to 40 C operating temperature for reliable daily operation.
