The VW884 is a 4-port HDMI output board designed to expand the VW3620 modular video wall processor – it routes four HDMI outputs to individual displays. This board supports True 4K at 60 Hz and advanced HDR formats to ensure accurate, high-resolution images. Its hot-swappable design simplifies field maintenance and system upgrades.
Key features include a built-in True 4K scaler, Seamless Switch technology, and EDID Expert management – these features enable real-time switching and consistent display negotiation. The VW884 supports HDR HDR+ and Dolby Vision for wide color and extended dynamic range. HDCP 2.2 compatibility and CEC support ensure interoperability with modern AV sources and displays.
Performance specifications include a maximum data rate of 18.0 Gbps and a maximum pixel clock of 600 MHz – this sustains 4096×2160/3840×2160 at 60 Hz in 4:4:4 color. Impedance is specified at 100 ohm and recommended cabling distances are maintained for up to 5.0 m. Power consumption is 54.72 W and thermal output is 257 BTU/h under full load.
Connectivity consists of four HDMI Type A female outputs and standard HDMI signaling features such as Deep Color and 3D. EDID Expert technology automates EDID selection to ensure smooth power-up and consistent resolutions across heterogeneous displays. Seamless Switch unifies differing input formats to avoid visual artifacts during real-time switching.
