The VS-62H is a 6×2 HDMI 4K UHD matrix switcher designed to route any of six HDMI inputs to either or both of two HDMI outputs. It reclocks and equalizes HDMI signals to preserve image integrity over longer cable runs. The unit supports HDCP and 3D pass-through to maintain compatibility with modern sources and displays.
Key features include an 8.91 Gbps maximum data rate, Kramer reKlocking and equalization technology, and support for 3D, Deep Color, x.v.Color, Lip Sync and 7.1 multichannel audio. The VS-62H offers EDID capture and non-volatile EDID storage to ensure reliable source/display handshakes. Auto-switching options can apply to either or both outputs using last-connected or priority selection.
Performance specifications include support for resolutions up to 4K and UXGA/1080p for legacy systems. The device rebuilds weakened digital HDMI signals enabling longer cable distances and consistent video quality. An internal pattern generator and lock button on the front panel assist in setup and prevent unwanted changes.
Connectivity covers six HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs along with an Ethernet port, IR input, RS-232 serial control, contact-closure remote selection, and a mini USB program port. Multiple control methods are available – front panel buttons, included IR remote, optional external IR receiver, RS-232, Ethernet and an embedded web server. Firmware updates are supported via USB.
Typical applications include conference room presentations, digital signage and advertising installations, and rental and staging environments where multiple HDMI sources must be switched to one or two displays. The compact desktop form factor allows two units to be mounted side-by-side in a single 1U rack space using an optional RK-1 adapter. The unit is built to operate in standard AV room conditions and supports both desktop and rack-mounted deployments.
Installation and daily operation are simplified by multiple control interfaces, EDID management, and auto-switching capabilities. The front panel lock prevents unauthorized changes while the internal pattern generator helps verify output integrity.
