The VS-44H2 is a 4×4 HDMI matrix switcher engineered for professional AV environments. It accepts four HDMI sources and delivers any input to any or all of four outputs simultaneously. The unit supports 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 and HDR to preserve high-resolution video and color fidelity for each display.
Key features include signal reclocking and equalization to maintain HDMI signal integrity over longer runs – selectable HDCP per input and per-input EDID management to ensure source-display compatibility. The switcher supports HDMI features such as Deep Color, 3D, ARC and up to 7.1-channel uncompressed audio. It also provides smart switching modes, including active source detection and priority or last-connected input selection.
Performance specifications include support for HDMI 2.0 video formats and HDCP 2.2 and 1.4 content protection at an 18 Gbps data rate. The VS-44H2 uses Kramer re-Klocking and equalization technology to rebuild digital signals. It can store and recall up to eight preset configurations to speed common setups and recover system state after power cycles.
Connectivity and control options include front-panel switching and LEDs for immediate local operation and troubleshooting. Remote control is available via embedded web pages over Ethernet, Protocol 3000 API, and RS-232 serial commands for integration with control systems. Firmware updates are supported over Ethernet to simplify maintenance and feature updates.
The VS-44H2 is suited to control rooms, presentation spaces, multimedia installations and any system that requires automatic HDMI routing and central AV management. It handles complex EDID and HDCP scenarios while delivering consistent video and multichannel audio to multiple displays. The embedded pattern generator helps installers verify signal paths and display operation during deployment.
Designed for rack installation, the unit fits a 19 inch 1U space and ships with rack ears and a universal 100-240V AC power supply for global deployments.
