The VS-42H2 is a 4×2 HDMI matrix switcher designed to route four HDMI sources to two HDMI outputs simultaneously while preserving 4K video quality. It supports 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 video and HDR content at up to 18Gbps per link. The unit reclocks and equalizes signals to maintain integrity over extended cable runs.
Key features include per-input EDID management, selectable HDCP per input, and Kramer Equalization & reKlocking technology to restore signal quality. The switcher supports HDCP 2.2 and 1.4 and can save up to six preset configurations for quick recall. Local controls include front panel switching, mute, lock and EDID buttons plus an IR remote for immediate operation.
Performance specifications support 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 with HDR and an 18Gbps data rate for each output. The device reclocks digital signals to extend reach and maintain video timing and chroma fidelity. HDCP handling is flexible per input to accommodate mixed protected and unprotected sources.
Connectivity options include four HDMI inputs and two 18G HDMI outputs, an Ethernet port with embedded web pages for configuration, RS-232 serial control, and Protocol 3000 API compatibility. Firmware upgrades are available via USB or RS-232 to ensure field maintainability. Front panel LEDs indicate power status, IR activity and input selection for fast troubleshooting.
The VS-42H2 fits half-19 inch rack space and can be mounted in a 1U rack area using the recommended adapter for space-constrained racks.
