The VE806 is an HDMI over Cat5e wall plate extender kit that transmits HDMI video and stereo audio over two Cat5e cables – one for AV signals and one for remote power. It pairs a decora-style transmitter and receiver in compact metal housings to keep AV devices and cabling hidden behind walls. The kit delivers reliable signal extension for common HDMI sources and displays in commercial and institutional installations.
Key features include remote power capability from either the transmitter or receiver, an 8-segment equalization adjustment switch to optimize picture quality, and support for HDMI 3D and Deep Color. The unit supports hot-plugging and HDCP compliance to maintain compatibility with protected content. Built-in 8KV/15KV ESD protection and LED indicators provide status feedback and system protection.
Performance is specified up to 1080p at 40m and 1080i at 60m over good quality Cat5e cabling, with a maximum data rate of 6.75 Gbps and a 225 MHz pixel clock. Impedance for HDMI input and output is 100 Ω and the device consumes 9 VDC at 2.9 W when powered. The compact form factor measures 10.11 x 4.44 x 4.40 cm and weighs 0.17 kg.
Connectivity uses standard HDMI Type A female connectors for both input and output on the wall-plate style transmitter and receiver, plus a terminal block connector for DC power. The design supports widescreen formats and stereo audio over HDMI so it integrates with most HDMI sources and displays. Remote power is transmitted over a second Cat5e cable when required, allowing the included power adapter to be used on either end.
