This beltpack pairs with compatible RTS base stations and offers essential monitoring and talk controls in a robust portable package. Key features include a graphical LCD user interface, a receiver RF meter, and an auto-sensing headset connector that switches between electret and dynamic microphones. The beltpack has dedicated controls for on/off and volume as well as a talk button and talk light for clear talkback status. Visual indicators include a low battery/overmodulation (BAT/OM) light to assist operators during critical operations.
The TR-82N is a two-channel narrowband UHF beltpack operating in the FD band and supports dual listen so users can monitor two separate intercom channels simultaneously. The housing is an all-metal cast magnesium case for improved durability and RF shielding. Power is supplied by six AA cells with NiMH battery support as an option, and the operating temperature range covers typical field conditions.
Connectivity and control options include detachable antennas for improved transport and antenna management, an LCD-based graphical UI for channel selection and status, and a headset connector that auto-detects electret or dynamic mics. The beltpack provides a receiver RF meter so technicians can assess RF signal strength in the field. Stage Announce (SA) and Wireless Talk Around (WTA) functions add operational flexibility in production workflows.
