Additional features include stage announce activation, wireless talk around (WTA), enhanced ClearScan, and detachable antennas for flexible deployment.
Technically the TR-80N is a narrow-band synthesized UHF intercom beltpack with two audio channels and frequency-agile tuning – it supports Band F3 and pairs to the BTR-80N system. Power is provided by six AA cells, with NiMH recommended as an optional replacement for rechargeable operation. The unit is specified to operate across an ambient range of -20°C to 55°C and is offered in a rugged all-metal cast magnesium case for long service life.
