The TR-80N is a two-channel narrowband UHF wireless beltpack designed as a portable user station for professional intercom systems. It provides RF-agile synthesized tuning across the F3 band and supports two simultaneous audio channels. The unit is built to offer reliable crew communications in demanding live and broadcast environments.
Key features include an LCD-based graphical user interface, receiver RF meter, stage announce function and wireless talk-around capability. The beltpack features an auto-sensing headset connector that switches between electret and dynamic headset microphones automatically. Enhanced ClearScan and detachable antennas improve RF management and deployment flexibility.
Technically the TR-80N is a synthesized narrowband UHF intercom beltpack supporting two channels with front-panel audio channel select and dedicated talk controls. Power is supplied by six AA cells, with NiMH battery packs supported as an option. The operating temperature range is -20°C to 55°C and the enclosure is an all-metal cast magnesium design for robustness.
Connectivity includes a detachable antenna system and an auto-sensing headset jack for electret or dynamic mics. The unit reports RF conditions via an onboard receiver RF meter and provides visual status using BAT/OM and talk lights. Stage announce and wireless talk-around features allow integration into larger comms workflows and emergency bypass scenarios.
