The TR-80N is a two-channel narrowband UHF wireless beltpack designed to operate with RTS BTR-80N basestations. It provides frequency-agile operation in band C3 and supports a 5F headset connection. The unit is intended for stage and broadcast intercom applications where reliable wireless user stations are required.
The beltpack features an all-metal cast magnesium case and an LCD based graphical user interface for clear status and menu navigation. It includes a receiver RF meter, stage announce activation, and wireless talk around (ISO) activation to support common intercom workflows. Enhanced ClearScan helps identify and avoid interferers in the operating band.
Technical characteristics include two audio channels, auto-sensing headset mic input that switches between electret and dynamic headsets, and detachable antennas for flexible deployment. Power is provided by six AA cells, with NiMH rechargeable batteries optional. The operating temperature range spans -20°C to 55°C to accommodate demanding production environments.
Connectivity and controls are optimized for live use with an audio channel select button, on/off and volume control, talk button and talk light, and a receiver RF meter for signal monitoring. Stage Announce (SA) and Wireless Talk Around (WTA) functions are provided for common intercom call and monitoring scenarios. Detachable antennas simplify transport and antenna placement.
Typical use cases include live production crews, broadcast facilities, and theatrical stage management where a compact two-channel wireless user station is needed. The TR-80N supports reliable crew communication, stage announce, and isolated talk-around for small-crew or multi-zone workflows. Battery operation allows untethered mobility on stage or in mobile production trucks.

The cast magnesium housing delivers impact resistance and electromagnetic stability while keeping weight manageable.
