The TR-80N is a UHF narrow band 2-channel wireless beltpack designed for professional intercom systems. It provides frequency-agile synthesized tuning in the A3 band and pairs with compatible base stations for reliable crew communications. The unit combines rugged construction and an LCD graphical user interface to support stage and broadcast workflows.
Key features include an all-metal cast magnesium case, an LCD-based graphical UI, an integrated RF meter and stage announce activation. The beltpack supports wireless talk around (WTA/ISO) and enhanced ClearScan to maintain clear links in congested RF environments. Detachable antennas and an auto-sensing headset connector add operational flexibility.
Technically the TR-80N offers two independent audio channels, receiver RF metering for signal assessment and indicators for low battery and overmodulation. Power is supplied by six AA cells with NiMH compatibility as an option, and the operating temperature range supports use in demanding conditions. The unit is frequency-agile within the UHF narrow band and uses synthesized tuning for stable channel selection.
Connectivity includes an auto-sensing headset connector that switches between electret and dynamic headset microphones and support for a 4M headset cable option. Detachable antennas simplify transport and replacement while the receiver RF meter and talk light provide immediate operational feedback. Controls include an audio channel select button, on/off and volume control and a dedicated talk button.
