The TR-800 is a two-channel UHF wireless beltpack designed for professional intercom systems and integration with compatible base stations. It provides flexible channel selection and reliable voice communication across FE frequency bands. The unit is built to deliver clear, low-latency intercom audio for production and broadcast crews.
Key features include individual volume controls, a graphical LCD user interface, and an auto-sensing headset connector that switches between electret and dynamic microphones. The TR-800 also supports stage announce and wireless talk-around functions for on-site communication redundancy. Detachable antennas and enhanced ClearScan improve RF management and channel selection.
Technical performance covers a wide RF frequency range and robust audio response. Frequency response is 300 Hz to 8 kHz and RF sensitivity is specified at less than 0.7 for 12 dB SINAD. Distortion is under 1 percent at full deviation, and RF frequency stability is 0.005 for dependable operation.
Connectivity and compatibility include screw-type replaceable TX/RX antennas and a headset output rated at 40 mW into 600 ohms. The beltpack accepts six AA cells for power with NiMH as an optional battery type. The device uses dual conversion superheterodyne FM synthesis and supports up to 712 channels for flexible spectrum allocation.
Typical applications include live event production, broadcast facilities, theater operations, and mobile production trucks where crew intercom is required. The TR-800 is suitable for point-to-point and multi-user intercom deployments and works with compatible BTR base stations and system controllers. It is appropriate for noisy environments where clear talkback is critical.
