The RTS TR-800 TR-800 C3 US is a compact UHF two-channel wireless beltpack designed for professional intercom systems. It provides hands-on level control and channel selection in a rugged metal housing. The unit works as a user station for BTR-800 wireless base stations and supports operation across C3 band frequencies.
Main features include independent volume control, an LCD graphical user interface, detachable antennas and an auto-sensing headset connector that switches between electret and dynamic microphone headsets. The beltpack offers Wireless Talk Around (WTA) and Stage Announce (SA) functions that simplify isolated or stage-wide communication. Enhanced ClearScan and a synthesized receiver ensure reliable channel tuning and interference avoidance.
Technical performance covers a frequency response of 300 Hz to 8 kHz and RF frequency ranges of 470-608 MHz and 614-740 MHz in 18 MHz TX and RX bands. RF sensitivity is specified at less than 0.7 for 12 dB SINAD and RF frequency stability at 0.005. Audio output is rated at 40 mW and distortion is less than 1 at full deviation.
Connectivity includes screw-type, replaceable quarter-wave antennas for transmit and receive, a headset connector with auto-sensing for electret or dynamic mics, and local headset output. The beltpack supports a binaural option marked as No in the spec set and offers a channel select button, talk button and talk light for clear operation. FCC ID entries are B5DM518 and B5DM515 depending on TX band.
Common applications include live event production, broadcast stage communications and theater stage management where two-channel portable intercom is required. The TR-800 is suitable for ENG crews, production technicians and stage managers needing a compact belt-worn user station.
