The RTS TR-800 is a two-channel UHF wireless beltpack designed for professional intercom applications. It provides dual-channel audio access in a compact beltpack form factor and supports band C3 operation and 5F headset connectivity. The unit features an LCD graphical user interface for intuitive operation and precise status feedback.
Key features include individual volume controls, an auto-sensing headset connector that switches between electret and dynamic microphones, and detachable antennas for flexible deployment. The TR-800 also supports stage announce activation and wireless talk-around (ISO) for localized communications. Enhanced ClearScan simplifies frequency selection to maintain reliable RF performance.
Performance specifications include an RF frequency range of 470-608 MHz and 614-740 MHz in 18 MHz TX and RX bands, a frequency response of 300 Hz to 8 kHz, and RF sensitivity below 0.7 for 12 dB SINAD. The beltpack uses dual conversion superheterodyne synthesis with FM and supports 712 channels. Distortion is specified at less than 1 at full deviation and RF frequency stability is 0.005.
Connectivity and indicators are centered on professional headset integration and user controls. The unit offers a local headset output of 40 mW and a headset connector that auto-selects electret or dynamic mics. User controls include on/off and volume control, audio channel select, talk button, talk light, and Bat/Overmod indicators.
Practical applications include crew communications for live events, theater productions, and broadcast support where reliable two-channel intercom is required. The TR-800 is suited to multi-user systems when paired with compatible base stations such as the BTR-800.
