Description
The TP-752R is an HDMI receiver engineered to extend 1080p HDMI video over long distances using common 2-wire cabling. It receives HDMI signals transmitted from a compatible transmitter and restores a full HDMI output while offering de-embedded audio. The receiver is designed for installations where existing or legacy cabling is preferred over new specialized infrastructure.
The unit provides audio de-embedding that supplies the received digital audio as S/PDIF and analog stereo outputs while preserving audio on the HDMI output. It supports multiple physical connector options including a terminal block for direct 2-wire connections, RJ-45 for CAT style links, and a VGA connector to utilize legacy VGA-based cabling systems. The extender also supports bidirectional RS-232 control to pass control signals between source and display ends.
Performance is focused on reliable transmission of 1080p (HD) HDMI signals up to 600 meters 2000ft over appropriate cabling, maintaining AV signal integrity for typical long-distance installations. No user configuration is required as the receiver operates plug-and-play with compatible Kramer transmitters. The receiver is intended for 1080p content and standard HDMI audio formats de-embedded to digital and analog outputs.
Connectivity is flexible to accommodate legacy infrastructure or modern cabling choices. The terminal block accepts standard two-conductor runs used in retrofit installs, RJ-45 permits CAT cable deployments, and a VGA connector enables reuse of legacy VGA wiring. Control is handled through a bidirectional RS-232 port to enable remote device management and control passthrough between connected endpoints.
Common applications include extending HDMI from a source to a distant display when existing two-wire or CAT cabling is in place, AV distribution in auditoriums or retail where running new cable is impractical, and integrating HDMI into retrofit projects using VGA or legacy runs. The TP-752R is suited for single-link 1080p installations that require audio extraction and remote control capability.
Installation is simplified by a compact fan-less MegaTOOLS style enclosure that supports surface mounting and side-by-side mounting of two units in a single 1U rack space with the recommended rack adapter. The receiver is plug-and-play, requires no configuration, and is designed for practical field deployment where robustness and ease of installation are priorities.
