Description
The TP-594Txr is an HDBaseT 2.0 HDMI transmitter designed to extend 4K60 4:4:4 HDR video and multi-channel audio over a single twisted-pair cable. It converts HDMI, Ethernet, RS-232, IR, ARC and analog audio into a unified HDBaseT stream for long-reach distribution. The unit supports bi-directional control signals and audio return routing to simplify system integration.
The transmitter uses low-level DSC compression only when required to preserve visually lossless image quality and near-zero latency. It supports HDCP 2.2, HDR10, deep color and up to 32 channels of uncompressed digital audio. Intelligent EDID processing and automatic compression handling ensure compatibility with a wide range of receivers and HDMI devices.
Performance includes support for 3840×2160@60Hz 4:4:4 24bpp when compression is enabled, and 4096×2160@60Hz 4:2:0 without compression. Extension ranges reach up to 100m 330ft for 4K formats and up to 180m 590ft for 1080p in Ultra-Long mode using recommended shielded CAT cables. The unit also provides Ethernet extension up to 100Mbps and an extended RS-232 link with baud rates from 300 to 115200.
Connectivity includes an HDMI input, HDBaseT RJ-45 output, optical TOSLINK digital audio, balanced 5-pin stereo audio terminal block, RJ-45 Ethernet port, 3-pin RS-232 ports, 3.5mm IR jack and USB-A for firmware updates. ARC handling routes audio back to the HDMI input while also offering digital and analog outputs for external playback. I-EDIDPro intelligent EDID handling ensures plug-and-play operation with most displays and sources.
The TP-594Txr is suited to applications such as residential AV with AV receiver ARC extension, lecture halls and auditoriums requiring long-distance 4K HDR distribution, and corporate boardrooms or hotel AV systems that require centralized source feeding. Its bidirectional IR and serial control capabilities enable control of remote displays and receivers without additional wiring. Ethernet passthrough supports device management and network connectivity at the receiver end.
Installation is simplified by single-cable HDBaseT and PoE operation, LED status indicators, DIP-switch configuration and a compact MegaTOOLS aluminum enclosure for ceiling or rack mounting. Remote web UI management and remote firmware upgrades via Ethernet or local USB allow easy field maintenance. The design balances solid mechanical construction with convection cooling to support reliable continuous operation.
