Description
The SL-1N is a compact master room controller designed to centralize control of AV equipment and room facilities. It provides a single point of control for projectors, displays, audio amplifiers and room automation devices. The unit is engineered to simplify system operation and reduce the number of control interfaces required in a room.
The SL-1N offers two bidirectional RS-232 ports, IR inputs and outputs, and three relay contact closures to operate screens, drapes and power circuits. It also supports K-NET control channels for powered interface connections and an Ethernet port for network control and remote management. IR learning and USB configuration upload make command setup and deployment straightforward.
Technically, the controller accepts serial, IR and network control signals and provides contact-closure outputs rated for 36V AC/DC, 2A, and a 60V AC maximum on non-inductive loads. Power is supplied by a 12V DC adapter or via 12V DC over the K-NET connection, and status LEDs indicate function activity. The unit operates between 0 to 40°C and stores between -40 to 70°C with 10% to 90% RHL non-condensing humidity tolerance.
Connectivity includes two RS-232 ports and K-NET on terminal-block connectors, one Ethernet RJ-45 port compatible with Kramer Site-CTRL remote management, and a USB port for configuration uploads. Outputs are provided via terminal blocks for two IR lines and three relay contacts, and the device supports external IR sensors and IR extension cables. The SL-1N integrates with standard AV control systems and commonly deployed room automation interfaces.
Typical applications include lecture halls, boardrooms and meeting rooms where centralized control of displays, projection screens and lighting is required. The relays and IR outputs allow direct control of ancillary equipment such as motorized screens, AV power, and drapery systems. Network manageability enables remote monitoring and firmware/configuration deployment across multiple rooms.
Installation is compact and rack-friendly – three SL-1N units fit side-by-side in a 1U space using the optional RK-3T adapter – and the terminal-block connectors simplify field wiring. The unit ships with a power supply and offers LED indicators for rapid status checks during setup. Firmware updates and configuration uploads are handled via USB or Ethernet to streamline commissioning and on-site adjustments.
