The RX-700 is an HDBaseT 2.0 receiver designed to extend HDMI signals and USB device connectivity over a single Cat6 cable up to 100m 328ft. It receives compressed HDMI and DP++ signals at the transmitter and restores full HDMI output at the display end. This product is intended for AV system integrators and IT teams requiring long-distance HDMI delivery with USB device passthrough.
The RX-700 supports Display Stream Compression (DSC) to handle HDMI bandwidths up to 18Gbps and preserve 2160p 4:4:4 at 60Hz. It carries five-play signals – video, audio, Ethernet, control and USB – over a single cable and includes a separate bi-directional analog audio lane. The unit supports HDR formats including HDR-10, HLG and Dolby Vision (30Hz) and HDCP 2.3 for modern content protection compliance.
Performance-wise the receiver accepts DSC-compressed streams up to 17.8Gbps and outputs HDMI at up to 18Gbps bandwidth. It can deliver 2160p 4:4:4 or 4:2:2 12-bit HDR content using HDBaseT and supports multichannel audio formats including DTS:X and Dolby Atmos. USB 2.0 passthrough is provided with up to 190Mbps transfer rates suitable for webcams, touch control and HID devices.
Connectivity includes a single HDMI output, four USB device ports, a 10/100 Ethernet port, bidirectional IR, RS-232 and CEC, plus a dedicated analog audio lane for analog send/receive when paired with a compatible transmitter. The receiver supports DVI-I and DP++ v1.3 sources through compatible adapters and includes DIP switch options for USB direction, long cable mode and firmware update. Two-way PoH allows the unit to be powered remotely or to supply power to a transmitter.
Typical use cases include lecture halls and boardrooms that need long-distance 4K delivery with interactive USB peripherals, digital signage applications that require remote Ethernet and audio extension, and broadcast or production rooms where HDR and multichannel audio must be preserved to the display. The RX-700 is suitable where USB webcams, interactive whiteboards or HID devices must appear local to the source. The unit integrates into AV-over-Cat6 infrastructure and complies with HDBaseT 2.0 feature sets.
Installation is straightforward with a locking DC power jack and included 12V DC PSU and international power leads, plus mounting brackets for rack or flat installations. LED indicators report power, link, signal and HDCP status to aid troubleshooting during deployment. The RX-700 offers robust HDBaseT compatibility and practical installation features for professional AV deployments.
