The RC-74DL is a 12-button master room controller designed to provide centralized control of audio, video and room systems. It combines a programmable button array and a configurable digital volume knob to simplify user interaction. The unit is finished in white and fits a 3-gang US wall plate size for neat installation.
The controller offers 12 programmable buttons arranged in three groups with back-lit labels and programmable LCD group titles. It supports macro functions to execute multiple commands with a single press and command banks that provide multiple layers and toggle behavior. The digital volume knob is configurable to control audio levels or other continuous parameters.
From a technical standpoint the RC-74DL includes bidirectional RS-232 interfaces and an RS-485 port for device control, Ethernet for network management, and an onboard USB port for programming. Outputs include two IR outputs and four relay contact closures rated for 36V AC/DC 2A and 60V AC maximum non-inductive load. Default IP settings are provided to simplify initial network setup.
Connectivity options are comprehensive – three RS-232 ports, one RS-485 port, two GPI/O ports, two K-NET connectors for control and power distribution, and an IR sensor for external infrared control. The unit supports IR learning and can drive IR emitters for legacy devices. It is compatible with Kramer Site-CTRL for remote management and is configured using Kramer K-Config software.
The RC-74DL is suitable for lecture halls, conference rooms and multimedia classrooms where local tactile control is required. It simplifies daily operation by combining direct device access, macros and configurable button layers to match room workflows. It also integrates contact closures and GPI/O interfaces to control screens, drapes and auxiliary systems.
Installation is straightforward and the unit is built for wall-plate mounting in a three-gang configuration. The compact dimensions allow discreet integration while its back-lit buttons and LCD group labels aid usability in low-light environments. Kramer provides a dedicated power supply and optional IR emitter cables to complete typical installations.
