The RC-74DL is a dedicated 12-button master room controller designed to centralize control of AV systems and room facilities. It combines programmable tactile keys and a configurable digital volume knob to provide consistent user interaction across a range of devices. The RC-74DL is available in a 3-gang wall plate form factor and ships in black.
The controller provides 12 programmable buttons organized in three groups with color back-lighting and label capability. It supports macro execution and command banks, enabling multi-command sequences and alternate button behaviors from a single press. A programmable back-lit LCD group label area improves usability in low-light environments.
On the hardware side, the RC-74DL includes multiple control interfaces including 3 RS-232 bidirectional ports and an RS-485 port, 2 GPI/O ports, 2 K-NET connectors and an Ethernet RJ-45 port. It also features 2 IR outputs and IR learning, 4 contact-closure relays and a single USB programming port. Default IP is 192.168.1.39 and the unit ships with a power supply and an approximate weight of 0.6kg.
Connectivity is broad and flexible – the unit supports Kramer K-Config for local configuration and is Kramer Site-CTRL compatible for network remote management. K-NET provides a powered control channel to other wall-plate controllers or a central processor over a single cable. IR learning and IR output capability permit control of IR-only devices while RS-232 and RS-485 allow integration with projectors, displays, amplifiers, switchers and scalers.
The RC-74DL is suited to classrooms, conference rooms, training spaces and auditoriums where centralized, repeatable control is required. It can automate AV system power-up/shutdown, source selection, display control, screen and drape movement and lighting presets. Macro capability reduces user steps by encapsulating multi-device sequences into single-button actions.
Installation is straightforward using a standard 3-gang US wall plate mounting and K-Config setup via USB or Ethernet. The unit’s programmable back-lit labels, tactile controls and compact footprint ease user adoption and mounting in existing wall-plate cutouts. Kramer provides options such as IR emitter cables to extend IR control reach as needed.
