The RC-2C is a compact in-wall control keypad designed to provide simple and reliable local control of serial and IR devices. It offers two tactile backlit buttons with tri-color feedback for clear status indication. The keypad is built to fit standard 1 gang US, EU, or UK junction boxes and is targeted at small AV spaces.
The keypad features two removable, custom-label button caps that allow installers to tailor the interface to the room. Each button provides tri-color backlighting and tactile feedback to confirm user input. Programming is supported via Kramer K-Config software to assign macros and toggle functions to each button.
Technically, the RC-2C provides a terminal block RS232 port and a terminal block IR output for direct device control. The unit is powered by 12V DC and consumes approximately 40mA during operation. Physical dimensions vary by region to match local wall plate sizes and the unit mounts flush in standard 1 gang boxes.
Connectivity includes serial control over RS232 and IR control output for IR-capable devices such as projectors and displays. The keypad accepts common serial and IR command sets and integrates into existing control schemes without requiring network control. The device supports programmable macros allowing up to four commands per macro and up to four toggling macros per button for common control sequences.
