The PSE-1 is a compact Power over Ethernet injector designed to deliver 48V DC power over a single HDBaseT/LAN cable to remote PoE acceptor devices. It allows data and power to travel on one shielded cable so a separate power feed is not required at the endpoint. The unit is engineered for installations requiring remote powering of wallplates, extenders or other HDBaseT endpoints.
Key functional features include support for HDMI and HDCP signaling and an operation bandwidth of up to 10.2Gbps, with 3.4Gbps per data channel. The PSE-1 provisions up to 13W to the remote device at 48V DC and indicates status via ON and POE STATUS LEDs. Its compact DigiTOOLS form factor enables multiple units to be mounted side-by-side in a 1U rack space when using an optional RK-3T adapter.
Performance characteristics include reliable UHD transmission up to 100m (328ft) when using shielded BC-DGKat623 or BC-HDKat6a cable or equivalent. The device operates within a 0 – +40 C ambient range and survives storage conditions from -40 – +70 C. Environmental tolerance includes 10% – 90% relative humidity non-condensing and convection cooling through venting.
Connectivity is based on RJ-45 HDBaseT/LAN ports, with one port providing PoE to the remote sink and the other port acting as a standard HDBaseT/LAN link. The unit is compatible with HDBaseT-enabled endpoints and supports standard HDMI signaling and HDCP content protection. Indicator LEDs provide simple visual confirmation of power and PoE status for rapid troubleshooting.
Typical applications include powering remote wallplates in classrooms and conference rooms where AC power is not readily available, supplying PoE to digital signage receivers in retail, and centralized AV rack installations that require clean cable routing and minimal field power wiring. The PSE-1 is suited to both retrofit and new installations where single-cable power and data consolidation is required.
Installation is straightforward thanks to the compact aluminum enclosure, rubber feet for furniture placement, and optional 19 inch rack mounting via the RK-3T adapter.
