The PS-20 is a rackmount intercom power supply engineered to distribute DC and mixed audio to up to 25 stations. It provides dual-channel selection and front-panel monitoring to support multi-channel intercom systems. The chassis fits a standard 19 inch rack and is designed for installed broadcasting and AV environments.
The unit accepts a balanced XLR program input and offers four XLR primary outputs plus two 1/4″ link outputs on the rear panel and an RTS XLR monitor output on the front. A front-mounted speaker and level control enable quick verification of program audio. Channel selection allows channel 1, channel 2, or both to be delivered to outputs.
Electrically the PS-20 delivers 28 to 32 VDC with a maximum of 1.8 amps per channel in 2-channel mode, and nominal two-wire output levels of 30 VDC. Input accepts 100 to 240 VAC at 50 to 60 Hz and the monitor output provides 30 VDC nominal at up to 100 mA. Impedance on outputs is selectable between 200 and 400 ohms to match system requirements.
Connectivity includes XLR program input, XLR RTS main outputs, XLR RTS monitor output, and two 1/4″ stereo phono jacks for audio linking. Rear-panel mode selectors support CC, RTS/2, and RTS/4 wiring schemes to ensure compatibility with common partyline intercom standards. The unit supports both balanced and unbalanced connections where required.
The PS-20 suits broadcast studios, live event intercom racks, OB trucks, and fixed installations that require centralized power and audio mixing for multiple stations. It can be used to link program audio into intercom channels or to power and combine intercom channels for multi-station communication. LED channel indicators provide at-a-glance status for both channels.
Installation is straightforward – the slim 1U chassis mounts in standard 19 inch racks and uses a universal AC input. Front-panel controls offer direct level adjustment and channel selection without needing external tools. The steel enclosure and regulated DC outputs provide reliable service in professional AV installations.
