The EXT3-C-WP-XR-T is a wall-plate HDBaseT 3.0 USB-C transmitter designed to extend HDMI, USB, Ethernet, RS-232 and IR signals over a single twisted-pair cable – it converts local inputs to an HDBaseT stream for a compatible receiver. This transmitter supports uncompressed 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 video and USB 2.0 peripheral extension while also providing USB-C power delivery. The product is built for clean room integration and a compact WW two-gang form factor for podiums and meeting room walls.
Main features include uncompressed 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 HDMI extension, USB-C DP Alt Mode and PD 3.0 power delivery up to 60W, USB 2.0 hub support, and bi-directional Ethernet/RS-232/IR extension – LEDs indicate HDMI, Loop, HDBT, PoE and USB host status. The transmitter mirrors the HDMI input to a local loop output and passes EDID and CEC including a DISPLAY ON button for remote display power control. The unit accepts PoE power from a compatible remote PoE source which simplifies cabling at the transmitter location.
Video performance includes 18 Gbps total bandwidth (6 Gbps per graphic channel), HDCP 2.3 compliance, HDR10 and deep color support as specified in HDMI 2.0b, and support for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD audio formats. USB extension supports up to 480 Mbps with a transmitted data bandwidth up to 300 Mbps and integrated USB hub functionality. Ethernet extension carries up to 1 Gbps and RS-232 supports baud rates from 300 to 115200.
Connectivity on the wall-plate includes a USB-C DP Alt Mode input with PD 3.0 charging, RJ-45 HDBaseT output, HDMI loop output, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, 1 Gbps LAN RJ-45, RS-232 terminal block and IR terminal block. The transmitter is compatible with any HDBaseT-compliant receiver and works with DP Alt Mode capable USB-C sources. Use recommended Kramer HDBaseT cables to reach the maximum specified cable runs and maintain signal integrity.
Typical applications include corporate hybrid meeting rooms, education hybrid learning environments, and AV room extension scenarios where a clean wall-plate interface and single-cable transport are required.
