The WP-871xr is a compact 1-gang wall-plate transmitter that converts HDMI to DGKat 2.0 for long-reach distribution. It extends 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 HDR signals while preserving HDCP 2.2 compliance. The unit is powered over the same twisted pair cable using PoC – eliminating the need for a remote power source.
Key capabilities include visually lossless compression for 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 with near-zero latency and support for HDR10. The transmitter supports deep color, x.v.Color, lip sync and all HDMI uncompressed audio channels including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD. It passes EDID to ensure plug-and-play interoperability between sources and displays.
Performance reaches up to 60m/200ft at 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 over Kramer shielded UNIKAT twisted pair cable and up to 70m/230ft at 4K@30Hz 4:4:4. The device handles a maximum data rate of 18 Gbps (6 Gbps per graphic channel) and supports 24bpp color depth. Compression is applied to signals above 1080p to enable long-distance transmission while maintaining image fidelity.
Connectivity includes one HDMI input on a female HDMI connector and one DGKat output on an RJ45 female connector. The wall-plate supports standard HDMI 2.0 features and is HDCP 2.2 compliant for protected content. An LED indicates power and connection status while dip-switches allow local compression setup.
Typical applications include wall- or podium-mounted extension for classrooms, table-mounted long-reach AV in conference spaces, and discreet wall-plate AV extension in meeting rooms, hotels and corporate facilities. The WP-871xr fits standard US, EU and UK 1-gang in-wall boxes for clean decorative integration. It supports studio-grade multi-channel audio extension up to 32 channels for immersive audio systems.
Installation is fast via a single twisted pair cable that carries both the signal and PoC power, reducing cabling and installation time. The enclosure is aluminum with convection cooling and is engineered for in-wall mounting and reliable everyday operation.
