The KN1116VA KVM over IP switch delivers secure local and remote access to server infrastructure using standard Cat5 cabling and web-based management. It provides one local console and one remote over IP session so administrators can access servers at BIOS level and beyond. Dual on-board NICs and dual power supplies ensure continuous availability for critical operations.
Key features include 16 direct KVM ports, support for up to 256 devices via cascading, and Virtual Media for remote mounting of USB drives and ISO images. The switch supports high-resolution local and remote video up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz and includes audio support for applications that require sound. Power Association pairs KVM ports with ATEN PDUs to enable integrated power control from the switch interface.
Performance and security are core strengths of the KN1116VA. Video performance is optimized with EDID management and mouse synchronization for seamless local and remote control. Security features include TLS 1.2 encryption, RSA 2048-bit certificates, IP/MAC filtering, and remote authentication via RADIUS, LDAP, and Active Directory.
