Description
The KE9950T is a DisplayPort single-display KVM over IP transmitter that separates a computer from its user console over an intranet. It provides remote access to a host system using a USB keyboard, USB mouse and a DisplayPort monitor located up to kilometers away over copper or fiber. The transmitter pairs with a KE9950R receiver or can be managed in a KE Matrix system for centralized control.
The unit supports native DisplayPort video up to 3840 x 2160 at 30Hz with 4:4:4 color and HDCP 1.3 compliance. Audio channels include stereo speaker output and stereo microphone input and the device supports Virtual Media for remote file transfers and ISO mounting. Security and management features include AES encryption and compatibility with LDAP, AD, RADIUS and TACACS+ authentication.
Hardware protections include built-in 8KV/15KV ESD protection and 2KV surge protection and the fanless design enables silent operation. The KE9950T supports DP 1.2 signaling and 36-bit color depth and provides dual DC power jacks for redundancy. Video compression is lossless with minimal latency and the device supports EDID Expert to preserve display compatibility.
Connectivity options include a Gigabit RJ-45 port and an SFP slot that accepts 1Gbps SFP fiber modules for distances up to 10 km. Local console connectors include DisplayPort, dual USB Type A, stereo jacks and an RS-232 DB-9 for serial peripherals. The transmitter exposes USB Type B and DisplayPort KVM ports for host connection and supports Auto-MDIX for automatic cable detection.
This transmitter is suited to control rooms, broadcasting monitoring, NOC operations and secure server rooms where remote console access is required. It can be deployed point-to-point, point-to-multipoint or integrated into a multipoint-to-multipoint matrix managed by KE Matrix Management Software. The unit supports video wall layouts, boundless switching and scheduled connection profiles when managed by the KE Matrix system.
Installation is simple and flexible – the KE9950T can sit on a desk, be mounted on a wall or be installed at the rear of a rack using optional rack kits. Dual DC jacks provide power redundancy and the compact 0U form factor reduces rack space usage. The metal housing and industrial operating range ensure reliable continuous operation in professional AV environments.
