The KE9950R is a DisplayPort KVM over IP receiver that provides remote console access to a host computer from a separate location. It accepts a DisplayPort video feed and presents a local USB keyboard and mouse console along with audio and serial connectivity. The receiver is designed to operate over copper or fiber networks and supports SFP modules for extended distances.
This receiver supports 4K video up to 3840 x 2160 at 30Hz and preserves color depth up to 36-bit via DP 1.2 and HDCP 1.3 compatibility. It supports stereo audio input and microphone passthrough and provides Virtual Media support for remote file transfers and OS maintenance. The unit includes AES encryption and supports external authentication methods such as LDAP, RADIUS, AD and TACACS+ when managed by KE Matrix software.
Performance is tuned to deliver lossless compressed video with minimal latency across an intranet and offers adjustable video compression levels to match available bandwidth. The KE9950R supports connection failover and dual IP addressing via its RJ-45 and SFP interfaces. Built-in protection includes 8KV/15KV ESD and 2KV surge protection and the design is fanless for quiet operation.
Connectivity includes a DisplayPort monitor port, two USB Type-A ports for vUSB and virtual media, stereo audio jacks, an RS-232 DB-9 port and dual LAN options via RJ-45 and SFP slot. Power redundancy is supported through dual DC jack inputs and the device can be rack mounted using available kits. The receiver supports Auto-MDIX and offers an OSD menu and RS-232/Telnet CLI for local configuration.
The KE9950R is suited to environments that require secure remote access such as control rooms, network operations centers, broadcast monitoring stations and data centers. It enables remote administration, software updates and monitoring without physical access to the host machine. The receiver integrates into KE Matrix Management to enable video wall layouts, boundless switching and scheduled access profiles.
Installation is straightforward with desk, wall or 0U rack placement and an intuitive OSD for local setup. Onscreen EDID management helps prevent display compatibility issues while the central KE Matrix software allows mass deployment and monitoring. The metal housing and redundant power inputs deliver a dependable rack-ready solution for continuous operation.
