The KE9900ST is a slim DisplayPort KVM over IP transmitter that provides remote access to a host system over an intranet. It relocates computers to secure temperature-controlled environments while giving users full keyboard/mouse/video access from a remote console. The unit is compact, fanless, and designed for silent operation in control rooms and broadcast environments.
The transmitter supports DisplayPort 1.2 input and lossless video compression delivering resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz with 24-bit color depth. It supports USB virtual media for file transfer and OS maintenance and provides RS-232 serial control. Security features include AES encryption and support for TLS plus external authentication via RADIUS/LDAP/AD.
Performance-focused hardware includes Auto-MDIX gigabit Ethernet connectivity, built-in ESD and surge protection, and compliance with HDCP 1.3. The KE9900ST offers configurable video compression levels and EDID Expert to ensure reliable display initialization and consistent image quality. The device supports low-latency streaming suitable for interactive KVM sessions.
Connectivity includes a DisplayPort video input, USB ports for keyboard/mouse and virtual media, RS-232 serial port, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and two power options: DC jack and DC terminal block. The transmitter can be discovered and configured via KE Matrix Management Software, RS-232, or Telnet CLI. It interoperates with KE Series receivers that output DisplayPort, DVI, or HDMI.
The KE9900ST is suitable for broadcasting, control centers, multimedia production, manufacturing automation, and any environment requiring secure centralized computing. It supports point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, multipoint-to-point and matrix topologies when used with KE Matrix Management Software. Advanced features such as fast switching, boundless switching and video wall creation are available when managed by the KE Matrix software.
Installation is simple and flexible – the slim 0U design allows mounting on a desk, wall, or at the rear of a rack using an optional VE-RMK 1U rack kit. The fanless construction reduces maintenance and noise while the dual power input options simplify wiring in constrained installations. Firmware management and on-screen display controls make day-to-day administration straightforward and efficient.
