The KAC-CU-200 is a Microsoft Teams Rooms compute unit running Android 10 designed to serve as the central processing node for meeting spaces. It provides native Teams Rooms on Android functionality and supports calendar integration, click-to-join and proximity-join for streamlined meeting start. The unit is intended to simplify room AV deployments while enabling modern collaboration features.
Key features include a Snapdragon QCS8250 processor, 8GB LPDDR5 memory and 128GB UFS3.1 storage which together provide responsive meeting performance and support AI-enhanced capabilities. The device supports dual HDMI outputs and an HDMI input to enable multiple display layouts and source management. USB connectivity and built-in Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 facilitate peripheral integration and wireless presentation options.
From a technical standpoint the compute unit runs Android 10 and delivers hardware acceleration via Adreno graphics for smooth video rendering. Network support includes Gigabit Ethernet, TCP/IP IPv4, DHCP or static IP and SNTP time synchronization. Security is enforced through TLS, SRTP for media, AES256 encryption and IEEE 802.1x network access control plus a built-in certificate and Kensington lock support.
Connectivity covers 2 HDMI outputs, 1 HDMI input, 2 USB 3.0 Type-A ports and 1 USB-C port, plus wired Gigabit Ethernet and dual-band 802.11ax Wi-Fi. Bluetooth 5.1 enables audio peripherals and control accessories. The compute unit is compatible with common Teams-certified peripherals such as cameras and speakerbars and integrates with room controllers for local system control.
Typical use cases include small to large meeting rooms that require a dedicated Teams Rooms on Android compute platform, dual-screen huddle spaces that need discrete HDMI outputs, and conference rooms that demand secure networked AV endpoints. AV integrators can deploy the unit as the core processor for hybrid meetings that combine local AV gear and cloud collaboration services. It supports incremental upgrades of cameras, microphones and displays without replacing the compute unit.
Installation is straightforward with a compact form factor and standard power input of 12V/3A DC. Rack or under-table mounting is supported by typical AV mounting accessories and a Kensington lock point provides physical security. Firmware and certificate management are supported to simplify long-term maintenance and IT governance.
