The IPMX-W40F-IRW3 is a 4MP QHD wedge-style PoE dome camera designed to deliver high-quality starlight imaging and metadata-enhanced video. This compact vandal-resistant camera combines a low-profile housing with long-range Smart IR illumination to capture usable color and monochrome footage in varied lighting. It is built for indoor or outdoor deployment and rated IP67 and IK10 for weather and impact resistance.
The camera features a 1/2.9″ 4 megapixel progressive CMOS sensor, F1.4 optics, a 2.8mm fixed lens, and up to 98 ft of IR illumination. Onboard AI functions include iMD 2.0 metadata streaming, Perimeter Protection, Intelligent Motion Detect 2.0, and Scene Self-Adaptation for improved edge detection in rain, fog, backlight, and low light conditions. It supports 120 dB WDR and 3 streams using H.265/H.264 compression for efficient recording and bandwidth management.
Technical performance includes 2688 × 1520 resolution at up to 30 fps on the main stream, support for multiple sub and third streams, and adaptive bit rates from 3 Kbps to 8192 Kbps. Night performance is enhanced by Smart IR LEDs and selectable day/night modes including Auto ICR and B/W. The camera includes 128 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM to support AI processing and firmware functions.
Connectivity is via RJ-45 10/100Base-T Ethernet with PoE (802.3af) or 12 VDC input for non-PoE sites. The unit is ONVIF Profile S/G/T, CGI, and P2P compatible and supports FTP/SFTP, NAS, and microSD edge recording to 256 GB. Audio I/O, alarm I/O, and an RCA external audio connector are provided for integrated audio and alarm workflows.
Ideal applications include transit vehicles, retail, education, and perimeter monitoring where an unobtrusive low-profile camera is required. The wedge form factor reduces accidental contact while retaining wide-angle coverage suitable for corridors, vestibules, platform edges, and storefront entryways. AI metadata streaming enables efficient object search and cross-channel indexing when paired with an IC Realtime AI NVR.
Installation is simplified by a compact 2.55″ by 4.37″ metal housing, screwdriver-fit junction box options, and flexible pan/tilt rotation for alignment. The camera is designed for system integrators requiring ONVIF interoperability, scene-adaptive compression presets, and dealer-level support. Air shipments, Overnight, 2nd day and 3 day select methods offer guaranteed delivery time for your shipment. If you are in hurry or in need for the items on schedule, select one of these methods.
