The IPFX-P4004-W1 is a compact 4MP mini PTZ dome camera designed to deliver PTZ capability in a small form factor – it combines QHD resolution, a 4x power zoom lens and advanced image management in a housing no larger than a standard minidome. This camera provides active PTZ control plus algorithmic detection features that expand monitoring coverage without the footprint of a full-size PTZ. The IPFX-P4004-W1 is intended for installations that require discrete PTZ coverage and robust outdoor performance.
Key features include a 1/2.8″ QHD CMOS sensor, 2.8-12mm 4x optical zoom, Ultra WDR and low-light sensitivity to 0.005 lux in color and 0.0005 lux in B/W. The unit supports Intelligent Motion Detection, perimeter IVS events such as tripwire and intrusion, and onboard face detection. An internal microSD slot supports up to 512GB for local edge recording to reduce network load.
Performance specifications include 4M (2560 x 1440) resolution at up to 25/30fps, H.265/H.264 compression options, three independent streams and Ultra DNR noise reduction. Pan range is 0deg-355deg and tilt range is 0deg-90deg with manual speeds from 0.1deg/s up to 100deg/s for pan. The optical system delivers a horizontal field of view from 90.3deg down to 29.4deg and a close focus distance of 4.92 ft (1.5 m).
Connectivity and compatibility are extensive – the camera supports RJ-45 10/100 Base-T Ethernet, PoE (802.3af) and 12 VDC power, ONVIF profiles S G T, P2P, CGI and SDK access. Web access works via common browsers and management is supported by SmartICRSS and DSS software, plus mobile clients for iOS and Android. Edge storage options include microSD, FTP and NAS to suit mixed system architectures.
Use cases include retail and storefront surveillance where concealed PTZ coverage is preferred, campus and perimeter monitoring where high mobility and IVS support improve situational response, and small-to-medium enterprise locations that need PTZ tracking without large hardware.
