The IPFX-E40V-IRB3 is a 4MP IP vandal eyeball dome camera designed to capture high-detail QHD video day and night. It combines a Starlight sensor for low-light color imaging with Smart IRs for clear grayscale night vision. The camera embeds AI-assisted detection and streams frame-by-frame metadata alongside video for rapid object search.
This model includes IC Realtime iMD 2.0 intelligent motion detection which performs in-camera classification of human and vehicle objects to reduce false alarms. It offers motorized 2.7mm to 13.5mm power-zoom auto-focus optics and three configurable H.264/H.265 streams. Smart H.265+ compression reduces bandwidth usage compared to standard H.265 when paired with compatible NVRs.
Technical performance includes a 1/2.9 inch CMOS sensor producing 2688 x 1520 pixels at up to 30 fps and a WDR of 120 dB. Minimum illumination is 0.005 lux at F1.5 in color and the camera provides up to 131 ft of IR illumination and 0 lux with illuminator on. Memory and processing are supported by 128MB RAM and 512MB ROM and local edge storage via Micro SD.
Connectivity supports 10/100Base-T Ethernet via RJ-45 with PoE 802.3af or DC12V power input. Protocols include IPv4/IPv6, RTSP, ONVIF Profile S/G/T and HTML5/CMS compatibility for integration into VMS and NVR platforms. The camera also has a built-in microphone and advanced audio codecs for local sound detection.
Typical applications include retail and hospitality sites where discreet black finishes reduce visual impact while AI metadata speeds forensic search tasks. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor mounting thanks to IP67 weatherproofing and a robust metal housing. The camera supports object search workflows on IC Realtime iMD 2.0 NVRs to quickly locate people or vehicles across multiple channels.
Installation is simplified by a compact eyeball dome form factor and compatibility with existing IC Realtime mounts and junction boxes. The design provides 0deg to 360deg pan and up to 78deg tilt for flexible aiming and a 30% voltage tolerance for real-world power conditions.
