The IPEL-B40V-LPR1 is a 4MP ANPR bullet camera designed to capture vehicle license plates at distance and generate searchable plate data. It combines a 2688 × 1520 sensor, motorized varifocal optics and dual illumination to deliver reliable plate reads in varied lighting. The camera stores plate captures locally and integrates with IC Realtime AI recorders for metadata and plate-number search.
Key features include a dedicated ANPR capture range up to 65ft and vehicle recognition at speeds up to 75 mph. The system uses dual illumination – IR or warm white LEDs – to handle nighttime and low-light scenes while a P-Iris and 140dB WDR preserve image clarity in high-contrast conditions. An active deterrent function provides audible warnings and red/blue LEDs for onsite alerting.
Onboard intelligence recognizes multiple vehicle types and achieves high capture and recognition rates when installed per recommended guidelines. The camera supports H.264/H.265 and MJPEG compression, two simultaneous streams and a main stream resolution up to 4MP at 30/25 fps depending on region. Edge storage via microSD (up to 64 GB) provides backup recording and whitelist/blacklist support.
Connectivity includes a 100/1000M RJ-45 port with broad protocol support including RTSP, ONVIF Profile S/T and HTTPS for secure access. The camera offers audio I/O, alarm I/O, RS485 control and compatibility with IC Now and DSS management software. It also supports common web browsers and iOS/Android mobile clients for remote review and configuration.
Typical applications include perimeter access control, parking facility plate logging and roadway entry/exit monitoring where automated plate search and vehicle metadata are required. The recognition performance, dual illumination and active deterrent features make it suited to both gated sites and curbside lanes. Integration with IC Realtime ANPR-capable NVRs simplifies plate-based searches and evidence extraction.
Designed for outdoor deployment, the camera is housed in an IP67 and IK10-rated enclosure and includes an integrated junction mount for secure installation. Power options include 12 VDC or PoE 802.3at to simplify wiring and site deployment. The combination of motorized varifocal lens, robust ingress protection and built-in deterrent tools supports durable, low-maintenance operation.
