The Galil 4-O on-wall compact speaker pair is a 2-way loudspeaker system designed for fixed installations where discreet, wall-mounted audio is required. It combines a 4″ polypropylene woofer and a 0.5″ Mylar tweeter for balanced speech and background-music reproduction. The enclosure and hardware are engineered for reliable long-term installation in commercial spaces.
Key features include a multi-tap transformer that supports 70V and 100V distributed audio systems as well as an 8 Ohm low-impedance bypass. The speakers deliver 20W RMS power handling and 60W continuous program capability, offering a consistent output for paging and background music. A sensitivity of 89dB and a continuous SPL of 95dB ensure adequate loudness in typical conference and hospitality spaces.
Performance is specified from 90Hz to 20kHz at -10dB and 160Hz to 16kHz at +/-3dB, with a 6kHz crossover frequency that controls the handoff between woofer and tweeter. Directional characteristics are moderate with a directivity factor Q of 4 and a directivity index of 6dB averaged from 1kHz to 10kHz. The result is stable dispersion suitable for near-wall listening and distributed audio coverage.
Connectivity is provided via removable terminal block input connectors and selectable transformer taps: 70V taps at 5W/2.5W/1.2W/Off and 100V taps at 10W/5W/2.5W/Off, plus the 8 Ohm bypass option. This makes the speakers compatible with low-impedance amplifiers or high-voltage constant-power systems. The transformer tap selection supports arrayed installations and simplified zone wiring.
The speakers suit conference rooms, boardrooms, classrooms, hotels and restaurants where unobtrusive wall-mounted audio is required. Their tonal balance and power handling make them appropriate for voice reinforcement, paging and low-level background music applications. Multiple units can be distributed to create consistent coverage across medium-sized spaces.
Installation is straightforward using the supplied mounting brackets and hardware, with recommended front-to-wall clearance of 15cm and back-to-wall clearance of 4.5cm when mounted. The cabinet is molded ABS and the frame, grill and brackets are steel for durable mounting. Operating and storage temperature ranges and wide humidity tolerance support typical indoor commercial environments.
