The EXT3-POE-XR-R is an HDBaseT 3.0 receiver designed to restore extended HDMI video, USB, Ethernet, RS-232 and IR signals at the display end. It receives an HDBaseT 3.0 stream and converts it back to native HDMI, USB and control interfaces. The receiver supports bidirectional power over the extension cable for flexible powering topologies.
Key capabilities include support for 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 video, HDCP 2.3 pass-through and USB 2.0 extension for camera and HID peripherals. The unit passes EDID and CEC information end-to-end and supports HDR10 and deep color formats. Two-way Ethernet and RS-232/IR extension enable LAN and control traffic over the same copper link.
Performance is optimized for up to 18Gbps aggregated HDMI bandwidth and 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 24bpp resolution. Video extension reach is up to 100m 330ft over CAT copper cabling when using recommended HDBaseT cabling. Audio streams are carried uncompressed supporting up to 32 channels for multi-channel setups.
Connectivity includes a single HDBT RJ-45 input, one HDMI output, USB 2.0 host and three USB device ports, a 1GbE RJ-45 LAN port, 3.5mm IR jack and RS-232 terminal block. The receiver auto-senses PoE direction and either supplies or consumes power over the extension pair. HDBaseT 3.0 compliance ensures interoperability with market-available HDBaseT transmitter products.
Typical applications include conference and training rooms where remote sources, cameras or USB devices need to be connected across a building infrastructure. The receiver supports hybrid meeting systems by extending video and USB for camera and audio devices while maintaining control and network connectivity. It is suitable for integration into AV matrices and point-to-point extension links.
The EXT3-POE-XR-R uses a MegaTOOLS fan-less aluminum enclosure for quiet, ceiling or rack installations and includes LED indicators for HDMI, HDBT, USB host and PoE status. Power is supplied by a 48V DC adapter and USB device ports provide up to 2A total charging current. The unit is CE certified and meets RoHS and WEEE environmental standards for professional installations.
