The EX-70-H2 is a compact HDBaseT HDMI extender set engineered to transmit 4K HDR content reliably over single Cat cable runs. It uses dynamic visually lossless compression to preserve image quality while supporting HDMI 2.0 signal formats. This transmitter/receiver pair is designed for AV installations requiring long-distance HDMI distribution and control integration.
Key features include dynamic VLC (Visually Lossless Compression) enabling 4K/60 4:4:4 and HDR 60Hz transmission, HDCP 2.2 compliance, and advanced re-clocking for improved source compatibility. The extender supports HDR-10+, HLG and Dolby Vision up to 30Hz, plus all VESA resolutions within HDMI 2.0. It also carries multichannel audio formats up to DTS:X and Dolby Atmos and supports 2ch PCM.
Performance is tuned for HDBaseT Class A operation over a 10Gbps link, delivering 4K up to 70m/230ft and 1080p up to 100m/328ft. The system provides visually lossless transmission with no added latency and automatic equalization and amplification to simplify cable-length compensation. EDID management and HDCP 2.2 compliance are included to help maintain compatibility with protected 4K UHD sources.
Connectivity options include HDMI inputs/outputs on each unit, HDBaseT link ports, bidirectional IR and RS-232 control passthrough, and support for CEC communication. The units accept standard and locking DC plugs via threaded bushings and feature visual LED indication for power, signal status, HDCP presence and HDBaseT link. Two-way PoH allows the transmitter or receiver to power the other unit, reducing dependency on local AC outlets.
Typical applications include professional AV installations such as meeting rooms, digital signage, education and hospitality environments that require high-quality 4K HDR distribution and centralized control. The EX-70-H2 is suitable for near-display mounting behind screens or in lecterns due to its slim 21mm chassis. It supports reliable control and audio passthrough for integrated system workflows.
Installation is straightforward thanks to automatic signal equalization, re-clocking and a slim form factor that fits behind displays. The included universal power supply and support for 2-way PoH improve deployment flexibility in the field. Air shipments, Overnight, 2nd day and 3 day select methods offer guaranteed delivery time for your shipment. If you are in hurry or in need for the items on schedule, select one of these methods. Most items ordered from AVProSupply will be shipped out from our California Warehouse. Will-Calls are only allowed with Appointment Only - Please call Customer Service to set one up between the hours of 9am to 6pm PST.
