The CS782DP is a 2-port USB DisplayPort KVM switcher designed to let a single DisplayPort console control two computers. It supports up to 4K UHD and 4K DCI at 60 Hz for high-resolution visual workflows. This compact bus-powered switcher integrates keyboard, mouse, video and audio switching in one device.
Key features include DisplayPort 1.2 compliance, HDCP support and MST capability to extend multi-monitor setups via compatible DP daisy chaining or an MST hub. The unit supports DP++ via an externally powered adapter enabling single-link HDMI or DVI output. Users can switch between sources using the remote port selector, hotkeys or mouse control for flexible operation.
Video performance reaches 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz and maintains full DisplayPort 1.2 signal integrity for color and refresh fidelity. Audio is supported through DisplayPort playback with HD audio compatibility and independent KVM/audio focus switching. The device also provides mouse port emulation and console port emulation for broad peripheral compatibility.
Connectivity includes a single DisplayPort console port, two USB Type A console ports for keyboard and mouse, two DisplayPort KVM ports and two 3.5 mm audio jacks. KVM cable sets are included with USB, audio and DisplayPort leads sized 1.8 m and 1.5 m as specified. The remote port selector connects via a mini stereo jack and is supplied with a 1.8 m cable.
The CS782DP is well suited to graphic design, animation and video editing stations requiring single-console access to multiple 4K sources. It is compatible across multiple platforms including Windows, Mac, Sun and Linux and supports wireless and multimedia keyboards and mice. Power on detection provides automatic switching if one computer is powered off.
Installation is simple and space-saving thanks to a small plastic housing and bus-powered operation requiring no external adapter in typical setups. Firmware is upgradable to maintain compatibility and the unit offers LED indicators for port status and selectable scan intervals for automated switching.
